Box Score (GREENVILLE, Pa.) - The Thomas More College volleyball team defeated Thiel College, 3-0, tonight (Tuesday, October 15, 2013) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at Beeghly Gymnasium in Greenville, Pennsylvania. The Saints won the match by the scores of 25-22, 26-24 and 25-19.
With the win, the Saints improve to 14-4 overall and 8-2 in the PAC. With the loss, the Tomcats fall to 2-21 overall and 2-9 in the PAC.
Sophomore middle hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) led the team in kills with eight, while junior outside hitter Felicity Britt (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) and freshman middle hitter Marisa Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) each finished with nine kills. Sophomore setter Becca Kuhn (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) led the team in 18 assists and junior outside hitter Holly Bronner (Reading, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) finished with 13 assists.
Junior defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) led the team in digs with 27 and Knaley led the Saints in blocks with three.
Thomas More returns to action on Thursday (October 17) when it hosts Chatham University at 6 p.m. at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
