Biography

Senior Highlights (2025-26): Competed in 17 matches with a 7-10 record. He recorded three wins by pin and one win by major decision. He was named a NWCA Scholar All-American and earned the G-MAC Elite 26 Award for having the highest GPA at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament.

Junior Highlights (2024-25): Appeared in 33 matches on the season. Posted an overall record of 13-20 on the year. Won 7 matches by pin, and  one by major decision. He was an NWCA National Qualifier for the 197lb. weight class. He earned CSC Academic All-District and NWCA Scholar All-American honors.

Sophomore Highlights (2023-24): Wrestled in 29 matches for the Saints, posting an overall record of 9 wins and 20 losses. Tallied 3 wins by pin.

Freshman Highlights (2022-23): Wrestled 22 matches this season for the Saints, earning four wins and one fall. Named a NWCA Scholar All-American.

High School Highlights: Watson attended Walton Verona, where he played for head coach John Roth. He earned Team Captain status as a senior.

Personal: Zachary Watson is the son of Mandy and Shawn Watson. He has four siblings, Bryn, Seth, Trey, and Amanda Miller.
