Redshirt Senior Highlights (2023-24): Wrestled 30 matches for the Saints, recording an overall record of 19 wins and 11 losses. Recorded 5 wins by pin, 2 wins by tech fall and 4 wins by major decision. Earned an invite to the NCWA National Championships.

Redshirt Junior Highlights (2022-23): Wrestled 32 matches for the Saints, going 17-15 with five falls. Qualified for the NAIA National Championship tournament for the third straight year. He was an at-large qualifier after finishing fourth in the MSC tournament.

High School Highlights: Shay earned five letters at Ryle under coach Tim Ruschell...He finished fifth in school history in career wins...He was a State qualifier as a first-year wrestler...Finished 5th in the Kentucky State Tournament as a sophomore...Finished 4th at the State Tournament as a junior...State runner-up in his senior season.
