Sydni Christine Wainscott was born on November 4, 1992 ... daughter of Stephanie Short and Chad Wainscott ... has two siblings, Sophia Short and Trevor Short ... transfer from the University of Pikeville.

High School Highlights:
Sydni earned four varsity letters at Simon Kenton High School, where she played for Jeff Stowers ... her junior season she was named 8th Region Player of the Year, NKAC All-Conference, first team All-NKY, named to the district and regional All-Tournament Team and named to the Cincinnati Hall of Fame for free-throw percentage (83.3) ... as a senior she joined the 1,000th point club, named Senior 8th Region Player of the Year, LaRosa's MVP, NKAC All-Conference and first team All-NKY ... tied the single game scoring record at Simon Kenton against Scott with 41 points.

Sophomore Highlights:
(12-13) Played in all 29 games for the Saints... Averaged 6.4 points per game with 1.8 rebounds per game.  Sydni scored a career high of 24 points againt Bethany (2/13/13).

Junior Highlights:
(13-14) Named Honorable Mention All-PAC .... Wainscott played and started all 32 games this season for the Saints with an average playing time of 25.9 minutes..Averaged 9.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.. had 112 assist for the season.

Senior Highlights:
(14-15) Named second team All-PAC ... second on the team in assists with 132 ... averaged 7.5 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game ... third on the team in steals with 62 ... scored a season-high 22 points in the Saints' "Sweet 16" win over Washington University - St. Louis.
