Sawyer earned a varsity letter at Covington Catholic High School, where he played for Scott Ruthsatz ... earned the Knucks Hustle Award all four years ... named most valuable defensive player and named to the all-tournament team his season season ... named team MVP his freshman season and best defensive player his sophomore season.
