Adam Goetz enters his 2nd season at Thomas More University as the graduate assistant for the men's basketball team during the 2025-26 season.
Most recently, Goetz worked as a trainer for Griffin Elite for the last three years. He has trained NBA players such as Darius Bazely, Jaxson Hayes, Colby Jones and NBA G-League players Adam Kunkel and Jaron Cumberland. Goetz also trained Ohio State’s Sean McNeil and Xavier’s Zach Freemantle among others.
Last Season, Goetz was an assistant at Simon Kenton High School. Prior to that, he was an assistant at St. Henry high school in 2020 and was also the head coach at St. Puis for the 8th grade team for two seasons. Goetz coached AAU the last three years for Griffin Elite and Hustle Elite.
Before his coaching days, Goetz played at G-MAC rival Kentucky Wesleyan for two seasons where he was named First and Second Team All-G-MAC, KWC Newcomer of the Year, and G-MAC athlete of the week. Goetz is in the top 10 for all time 3-point field goals made (151), all time 3-point field goal percentage (.402), and third in all time 3-pointers made in a season (78) in the Panthers record books.
Prior to transferring to KWC, Goetz was recruited by and played for Head Coach Ray at MSJ from 2016-2018. At MSJ, he was named HCAC Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-HCAC. In the 2017-18 season, Goetz was top five in shooting percentage in all of Division III. Goetz holds the program's record for 3-point field goal percentage (.500) and is top five in 3-point field goals made in a season (61).
Goetz, a Northern Kentucky native, played at St. Henry High School for Thomas More alum and Hall of Famer Dave Faust.
