Taylor Casey Smith was born on April 25, 1994, son of Alen and Kim Smith...has one older brother A.J.

High School Highlights:
Two year letter winner at Beechwood High School where he was coached by Bob Myerhoff..Taylors Junior year he had a ERA of .46, and his Senior year he  had an ERA of 1.06.

Junior Highlights:
(2015) Had a 5.27 ERA and a 3-1 record in nine appearances, including three starts ... had 18 strike outs in 27.1 innings pitched.

Senior Highlights:
(2016) Had 2 appearances, including 1 start....  had a ERA of 30.38 while recording 2 strikeouts in 2.2 innings pitched.
