Jayson Essell was born on September 22, 1995, son of Jay and Lori Essell..He has one sister Ally Essell

Three year letter winner at Oak Hills High School where he was coached by Chuck Laumann..his Junior season he received the most improved player award..Senior season received the best pitcher award.
