(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University women's soccer team picked up their first win of the season over RV UNOH on Saturday afternoon (August 27). The Saints overall record improves to 1-0-1.

- First year Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) found the back of the net in the 47th minute for her first collegiate career goal with an assist by junior Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, OHio/Fairfield) to put the Saints up 1-0.
- Laake continued her hot streak and scored a header in the 59th minute to extend the Saints lead to 2-0.
- UNOH's Nanna Rosengreen would make it a one goal game with 30 minutes to play on the clock with assist by Reneta Aguirre (2-1).
- UNOH's Ashley Wilson tied the game up in the 68th minute at 2-2.
- Laake scored in the 81st minute for her third goal of the game with a volley over the goalie's head to give the Saints a lead once again with assist by Ryann Meddings (3-2).

- Laake recorded five shots with four on goal and three finding the back of the net.
- Meddings tallied one shot on goal and had two assists.
- Junior transfer Steere Harsveld van der Veen (Utrecht Netherlands/USG) had one shot.
- First year Emilia Geren (Mason, Ohio/Mason) had one shot.

The Saints return to the field next Friday (Sept. 2) at Republic Bank Field at 7:00 pm ET against Siena Heights.
