McCormick attend Bishop Brossart High School in which he earned four varsity letters under Paul Wiggins...Received Coach's Award freshman year...During his junior and senior seasons he was named All-Region Nominee, All-District, and Team Offensive Lineman of the Year...Named a Northern Kentucky All-Star his senior year.
