CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY – The Thomas More University Athletic Department announced a staff update for their Sports Information Department, effective August 3
rd.
Kate Daugherty is promoted to Director of Sports Information after serving as the Assistant Director of Sports Information since January 2026. She has prior experience at King University (Bristol, Tenn.), the University of Akron, and Malone University within the field of athletic communications at both the NCAA Division I and II levels. She also brings a multitude of experience in other areas of sports, including being the On-Site Producer/Engineer, Spotter, and Social Media Coordinator for the ACP Productions Radio Network radio broadcasts of northeast Ohio high school football games since 2013 and five years at the Pro Football Hall of Fame as an Operations Assistant helping with the annual Enshrinement Weekend, Black College Football Hall of Fame Game, and the OHSAA Football Championships. Daugherty has had experience with the 2023 USFL Pittsburgh Maulers (equipment) and Bristol Motor Speedway and OHSAA (media operations).
The Ohio native earned her bachelor's degree in Sport Management and Business Administration from Malone University in 2023. In May of 2026, Daugherty earned her Masters of Sport Science/Coaching with a concentration in Sport Administration from the University of Akron. Her thesis on the community impact and personal legacies of the St. Edward vs Saint Ignatius high school football rivalry in the Cleveland, Ohio area is published on the OhioLINK Electronic Theses & Dissertations Center.
Aidan Voorhees joins the staff as the Assistant Director of Sports Information. He recently finished a two-year stint as the Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. Prior to Chatham, he spent two years as a broadcaster and producer for ESPN+ broadcasts at Duquesne University while also serving as the Duquesne Club Baseball Social Media Chair for four years.
The North Carolina native earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Information and Media from Duquesne University in 2023 and graduated from Chatham University with a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Strategy in 2026.
