NASHVILLE - Thomas More University men's soccer (1-1-0, 0-0-0 G-MAC) was not able to hang on to a second half lead on a blistering Saturday afternoon, falling for the first time in 2026 by a final score of 3-2 at Trevecca Nazarene University (2-0-0, 0-0-0 GSC).
- Junior Anwar Benkandil opened the scoring for the Saints for the second consecutive match, striking the ball into the left side of the net in the 8th minute with an assist from graduate student Luis Viegas
- The Trojans knotted the score at 1 on a counter attack in the 17th minute
- Junior Nils Waltemode snatched the lead back for Thomas More in the 38th minute, finding the back of the net with help from junior Luca Mammi
- Trevecca Nazarene scored three minutes into the second half to even the score at 2-2
- The Trojans found the winning goal in the 69th minute
- Thomas More's Serge Nkomeza was shown a red card in the 51st minute for a second yellow card offense
- Trevecca Nazarene's Ciaran Bellis was shown a red card in the 54th minute for a flagrant foul
- Sophomore goalkeeper Tim Tempel recorded 4 saves for the Saints
- Freshman Elliot Konsek had 2 shots on target
- Junior Eddie Longhurst recorded 2 shots with 1 on goal
- Benkandil and Waltemode both scored on their shots on target
- A total of 8 yellow cards and 2 red cards were shown in the match
