Women's Basketball Takes Down Tiffin on the Road

(TIFFIN, Ohio)-Thomas More University's women's basketball team defeated Tiffin on Saturday (Feb 21), 71-48. The Saints overall record improves to 21-5 and 13-5 in conference.

• Senior Sereniti Webb (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) kicked the scoring off with a layup to put the Saints on the board 2-0 with 8:36 on the clock.
• Junior Desiree Tandy (Danville, Ky./Danville) hit a jumper to make it a 9-4 game.
• Junior Izzy Rotert (Harrison, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) drove to the rim for a layup to extend the Saints lead to 19-11.
• The Saints would lead 19-13 at the end of the first quarter.
• Sereniti Webb made a layup to start off the second quarter for the Saints to put the Saints up by five with 7:31 to play in the half (21-16).
• With 6:16 to play, senior Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) knocked in two free throws to make it a 23-16 game.
• Sereniti Webb made one free throw for the final point of the half with 1:26 to play, to give the Saints a 30-20 lead at the half.
• Izzy Rotert led the Saints with six points and had three rebounds in the first half.
• Sereniti Webb led the team with six rebounds and had five points.
• Senior Natalie Noel (Salem, Ind./Salem) also tallied six points to lead the team and had two rebounds and two points.
• Rylee Turner recorded seven assists in the first half to lead the team and had four rebounds and two points.
• The Saints were 36.4% (12-33) from the field, 30% (3-10) from the 3-point line, and 75% (3-4) from the free throw line in the first half.

• Izzy Rotert knocked in two free throws to start off the second half to make it a 32-20 game with 9:26 on the clock.
• With 5:53 to play, Sereniti Webb drove to the rim for a layup to put the Saints up by 13 (43-30).
• Rylee Turner made two free throws for the finals points of the third quarter with 31 seconds left to put the Saints up 52-35.
• Izzy Rotert made one free throw for the Saints first point of the fourth quarter with 9:00 to play (53-37).
• Natalie Noel drained a 3-point shot to extend the Saints lead to 17 with 5:07 remaining (59-42).
• First year Zene Thompson (Burlington, Ky./Cooper) laid a ball in for the final basket of the game with 38 left in the game to secure the Saints 71-48 win over the Dragons.
• Sereniti Webb led the team with 10 points and five rebounds in the second half and had two assists.
• Izzy Rotert followed with eight points and two rebounds.
• Rylee Turner led with three assists and had seven points and three rebounds.
• The Saints were 48.3% (14-29) from the field, 57.1% (4-7) from the 3-point line, and 75% (9-12) from the free throw line in the second half.

• Sereniti Webb led with a double double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.
• Rylee Turner tallied 10 assists to lead the ream and had nine points and seven rebounds.
• Izzy Roter had 14 points and four rebounds.
• Natalie Noel recorded 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
• The Saints were 41.9% (26-62) from the field, 41.2% (7-17) from the 3-point line, and 75% (12-16) from the free throw line.
