Men’s Volleyball falls in five-set battle to Central State

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Thomas More University's men's volleyball team fell to Central State University in a five-set battle on Tuesday evening (Feb. 17).  Thomas More falls to 0-8 on the season.
 
 
Central State defeats Thomas More, 3-2

• Thomas More won the opening set 25-22.
• Thomas More won the second set 28-26 after going into extras.
• Central State won the third set in extras at 27-25.
• Central State won the fourth set 25-18.
• Central State won the final set 15-11.

 
 

• Senior Dominic Rossi (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler Area) led the Saints offense with 26 kills.
• Both senior Will Strasser (Cleves, OH / Taylor) and senior Braden Hicks (Kettering, OH / Kettering Fairmont) each had two aces.
• Senior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills) had 37 assists.
• Noah Smith-Trondle and Will Strasser each had two blocks.
• Noah Smith-Trondle and junior Tanner Stinnett (Fairview Heights, IL / Belleville East) each had 7 digs. Tanner Stinnett also had 26 receptions as the defensive specialist. Dominic Rossi also had 26 receptions.

 
 
The Saints will head on the road to take on Kentucky State on Tuesday (Feb. 24). First serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
