Men's Volleyball Falls on the Road to Central State

(Wilberforce, OH) - The Thomas More University men's volleyball team faced off against the Central State University Marauders on Wednesday (January 28).  The Marauders defeated the Saints in a five set thriller as Thomas More moves to 0-2 overall.

Results
Central State defeats Thomas More, 3-2.

  • Central State won the opening set 25 to 20.

  • Central State won the second set 25 to 19.

  • Thomas More won the third set 26 to 24.

  • Thomas More won the fourth set 25 to 22.

  • Central State won the fifth set and the match 15 to 13.


Notables

  • Senior Dominic Rossi (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler Area) led the Saints in kills with 15.

  • Senior WIll Strasser (Cleves, OH/Taylor) and Senior Braden Hicks (Kettering, OH/Kettering Fairmont) both led the team in service aces with 2 each.  They also both led in blocks with 2 a piece.

  • Senior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) led the match in assists with 35.

  • Junior Tanner Stinnett (Fairview Heights, IL/Belleville East) led the Saints in digs with 10.

Up Next

The Thomas More men's volleyball team returns to action on Friday (January 30) against the Tusculum University Pioneers at home for their home opener.  The match is set for 2:00 PM.
