(DAYTON, OH) - The Thomas More University football team traveled up I75 on Saturday (September, 6th) afternoon to take on the Dayton Flyers of the FCS level. The Saints fell to the Flyers by a final score of 38 to 0. Thomas More drops to an overall record of 0-2.
- Dayton scored the first points in the game on a 3 yard touchdown pass with six minutes left in the half. The PAT made it 7 to 0.
- Dayton added another touchdown in the final minute of the half on a 9 yard pass to extend the lead to 14.
- Dayton scored on a 2 yard rush. The PAT made it 21 to 0.
- Dayton opened the final quarter with a 51 yard touchdown run to extend the lead to 28.
- With 4:55 to play, Dayton made a 37 yard field goal to make it 31 to 0.
- Dayton makes it 38 to 0 with a 16 yard touchdown pass and PAT.
- Redshirt sophomore Griffin Scalf (Cincinnati, OH / Anderson) passed 15 for 32 for 126 total yards in the game.
- Redshirt sophomore Elijah Manning (Louisville, KY / Louisville Male) recorded 15 total tackles, and 8 solo tackles in the game to lead the defense.
- Junior Eli White (Greensboro, NC / Cooper) rushed 14 times for 61 yards in the game.
The football team will return to action on Saturday (September, 20th) when they travel to take on the Northwood Timberwolves. Kickoff is set for 12:00 P.M
