Women's Soccer Falls to Tusculum in Season Opener

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's soccer team opened the season against Tusculum, falling 5-2. The Saints start the season off with a 0-1 record. 

• Tusculum scored in the first three minutes of the game to put them on the board 0-1.
• Sophomore Olivia Barga (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) crossed a few kick that senior Lauren Laake (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mt. Notre Dame) headed into the back of the net to tie things up at 1-1.
• Tusculum scored with 10 minutes left in the half to give them the 1-2 lead.
• With 20 minutes to play in the game, sophomore Ivy Hoffman (Covington, Ky./Holy Cross) scored off a ball by junior Addy Arnult (Guilford, Ind./East Central High School) to tie things back up at 2-2.
• Tusculum would score three goals in the final few minutes to close out the game 5-2.

• Lauren Laake had three shots with two on goal and one finding the back of the net.
• Olivia Barga tallied one assist and one shot on goal.
• Sophomore Lily Martin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) had one shot.
• Ivy Hoffman had two shots on goal and recorded her first goal of the season. 
• Addy Arnult had one assist.

The Saints return on Saturday (September 4) against Roberts Wesleyan at 1:00 pm ET at Republic Bank Field.
