Wells and Nunn Each Record Six Points in First Win of the Season for Women's Lacrosse

(Canton, OH) - The Thomas More women's lacrosse team defeated Malone on Saturday (April, 5th) by a score of 12 to 6 for their first victory of the season. Thomas More moves to 1-12 overall and 1-3 in G-MAC play.

  • Sophomore Anna Wells (West Chester, OH / Lakota East) and first year Lauren Ferrier (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) got the Saints started with back to back goals, as senior Gracey Robinson (Lebanon, OH / Lebanon) picked up an assist. (2-0)
  • Sophomore Alexis Denman (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) and sophomore Alex Nunn (Loveland, OH / Loveland) answered a Malone goal with two for the Saints with an assist from Robinson to make it 4 to 1.
  • Anna Wells and Alexis Denman both answer Malone goals off assists from Alex Nunn to keep the Saints in front by three.
  • Alex Nunn recorded two straight assists as we entered the third on goals from Denman and first year Brynn Halbeisen (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills) to make it an 8 to 4 game.
