Mariani and Fruland Record Hat Tricks, Saints Fall to Storm

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) - Thomas More Universitys Men's Lacrosse team fell to the Lake Erie Storm on Saturday (March, 8th) by a final score of 12 to 8. Thomas More falls to an overall record of 2-2 and a G-MAC record of 1-1.

• Graduate student Wyatt Fruland (Cincinnati, OH / Indian Hill) scored the first goal of the day off an assist from sophomore Aspen Cameron (Plain City, OH / Jonathon Alder) to make it 1-0.
• Lake Erie took a lead with back to back goals (1-2).
• Junior Joe Mariani (Warners, NY / Mater Dei) finds senior Colin Thornton (Grafton, MA / Grafton) for a goal to tie the game. (2-2)
• Lake Erie responded with 3 goals to make it 5 to 2.
• Joe Mariani scores two goals, and sophomore Stephen Schodowski (Chula Vista, CA / St. Augustine) wins a face-off and scores as Thomas More evens the game at 5.
• Wyatt Fruland give Thomas More the lead off an assist from junior James Kendrick (Springboro, OH / Springboro) to make it 6 to 5.
• Lake Erie scored two goals to retake the lead 7 to 6.
• Joe Mariani ties it up at 7 with a goal off an assist from Schodowski (7-7).
• Lake Erie scored two goals to make it 9 to 7.
• James Kendrick finds Wyatt Fruland for a goal to end the first half with the score 9 to 8 in favor of the Storm.
