Men's Volleyball Falls to Missouri S&T in IVA Opener

(Crestview Hills, KY) - The Thomas More men's volleyball team faced off against the Missouri S&T Miners on Sunday (March 2).  The Miners defeated the Saints in three close sets.  The Saints are now 0-1 in conference play and 3-4 overall.

Missouri S&T defeats Thomas More, 0-3.

• Missouri S&T won the opening set 25 to 18.
• Missouri S&T won the second set 25 to 21.
• Missouri S&T won the match in the third set 25 to 23.

• Freshman Josh Norman (Highlands Ranch, CO/Legend) led the Saints in kills with 9.
• Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) led the match in assists with 27.
• Freshman Josh Norman (Highlands Ranch, CO/Legend) and Junior Will Busken (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) both led the Saints in service aces with 2 each.
• Josh Norman (Highlands Ranch, CO/Legend), Sophomore Omarian Pierce (Hickman, KY/Fulton County), and Sophomore Jacob Schurfranz (Louisville, KY/Trinity) all led in blocks with 1 a piece.
• Freshman Tyler Vasquez (Villa Park, IL/Bolingbrook) led the Saints in digs with 12.

• The Thomas More men's volleyball team returns to play on Wednesday (March 5) against Central State University in Wilberforce, OH.  The match is set for 6:00 PM.
