Men's Volleyball Takes Down D'Youville on the Road

(Buffalo, NY) - The Thomas More University men's volleyball team faced off against the D'Youville Saints Friday (March 14).  Thomas More defeated D'Youville in four thrilling sets as Thomas More now moves to are now 6-9 overall.

Thomas More defeats D'Youville, 3-1.

• Thomas More won the opening set 27 to 25.

• D'Youville won the second set 26 to 24.

• Thomas More won the third set 25 to 21.

• Thomas More won the match in the fourth set 25 to 23.

• Sophomore Jacob Schurfranz (Louisville, KY/Trinity) led the Saints in kills with 18.  He also led in hitting percentage with %.500.  

• Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) and Freshman Josh Norman (Highlands Ranch, CO/Legend) both led the team in service aces with 3 each.

• Freshman Josh Norman (Highlands Ranch, CO/Legend) led in blocks with 3.

• Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) led the match in assists with 46.

• Freshman Tyler Vasquez (Villa Park, IL/Bolingbrook) and Senior Ben Albers (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) both led the Saints in digs with 11 each.

• The Thomas More men's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday (March 15) against D'Youville in Buffalo, NY.  The match is set for 12:00 PM.
