Men's Volleyball Gets Back in Win Column With Reverse Sweep

(Rochester, NY) - The Thomas More University men's volleyball team faced off against the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks Thursday (March 13).  The Saints reversed swept the Redhawks in five hard fought sets as the Saints are now 5-9 overall.

Thomas More defeats Roberts Wesleyan, 3-2.

• Roberts Wesleyan won the opening set 25 to 22.

• Roberts Wesleyan won the second set 25 to 17.

• Thomas More won the third set 25 to 21.

• Thomas More won the fourth set 25 to 23.

• Thomas More won the fifth set and the match 15 to 12.

• Sophomore Jacob Schurfranz (Louisville, KY/Trinity) led the Saints in kills with 16.

• Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) and Freshman Josh Norman (Highlands Ranch, CO/Legend) both led the team in service aces with 2 each.

• Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) led the match in assists with 43.

• Freshman Tyler Vasquez (Villa Park, IL/Bolingbrook) led the Saints in digs with 9.

• The Thomas More men's volleyball team returns to action on Friday (March 14) against D'Youville in Buffalo, NY.  The match is set for 12:00 PM.
