Men’s Volleyball Falls to the Missouri S&T Miners on the Road

(Rolla, MO) - The Thomas More University men's volleyball team faced off against the Missouri S&T Miners on Monday night (March 10).  The Miners defeated the Saints in three sets as the Saints are now 4-8 overall.

 

Results

Missouri S&T defeats Thomas More, 0-3.

 

  • Missouri S&T won the opening set 25 to 23.

  • Missouri S&T won the second set 25 to 21.

  • Missouri S&T won the match in the third set 25 to 17.

 

Notables

  • Sophomore Jacob Schurfranz (Louisville, KY/Trinity) led the Saints in kills with 8.  He also led the team in blocks with 2.5.

  • Junior Dominic Rossi (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler Area), Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills), and Junior Will Busken (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) all led the team in service aces with 1 a piece.

  • Junior Noah Smith-Trondle (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) led the match in assists with 17.

  • Freshman Tyler Vasquez (Villa Park, IL/Bolingbrook) led the Saints in digs with 8.

 

Up Next

  • The Thomas More men's volleyball team returns to action on Wednesday (March 12) against Maryville University at home.  The match is set for 7:00 PM.
