Saints Make 13 Three Pointers in Victory Over Boyce

Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team defeated the Boyce Bulldogs at home on Thursday (December, 11th) night by a final score of 93 to 55. Thomas More improves to an overall record of 5-2 on the season.

• A pair of free throws from redshirt sophomore Kai Simpson (Lexington, KY / Frederick Douglass) and a three pointer from redshirt first year Daniel Allen (Hodgenville, KY / Larue County) put the Saints out in front early 5 to 2.
• Senior Mitchell Rylee (Ft. Mitchell, KY / Covington Catholic) makes a layup and Kai Simpson follows with a triple to put the Saints in front by 8 with 15:05 left in the half.
• Redshirt junior Colin McHale (Cincinnati, OH / Turpin) scores his first bucket of the night with 13:54 left in the half to make it a ten point Saint lead.
• A Kai Simpson and-one followed by a Daniel Allen triple pushes the score to 22 to 6 with 11:30 left in the half.
• With 9:51 left in the half, redshirt sophomore Zion Crowe (Spingfield, OH / Shawnee) drains a three pointer to make it a 19 point Saint lead.
• Zion Crowe makes a bucket, followed by a layup from sophomore Jashaun Pouncy (Erlanger, KY / Cooper) to put the Saints up 20.
• Redshirt sophomore Jack McCune (Paducah, KY / McCracken County) scores with 5:16 left in the half to make it a 33 to 13 Saint lead.
• Thomas More takes a lead into halftime with the score 35 to 25.
• Thomas More shot 14-35 (40%) from the field, 4-16 (25%) from three and 3-3 (100%) from the free throw line for the half.
• Kai Simpson leads the Saints in scoring with 12 in the half, along with a team high 7 rebounds.
• Daniel Allen added 8 points with 4 rebounds in the half.

• Mitchell Rylee gets the Saints going again with a bucket to open the second half. (37-25)

• With 3:57 left to play, junior Cam McClain (Louisville, KY / Trinity) hits a three pointer off a Pouncy assist.
• Thomas More goes on to win by a final score of 93 to 55.
• Thomas More shot 36-73 (49.3%) from the field, 13-38 (34.2%) from three, and 8-10 (80%) from the free throw line for the game.
• Thomas More dominated the rebounding battle, 60 to 23.
