Men's Soccer Takes Down KWC to Conclude Regular Season

Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)- Thomas More University's men's soccer team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday night (November, 4th) by a final score of 2-0 to conclude the regular season. The Saints move to 9-7-2 overall and 7-5-2 in G-MAC play.

• Junior Nick Phyllis (Thunder Bay, Canada / Westgate) got the Saints going with a goal in the 3rd minute of the match off an assist from senior Edgar Martins (Seixal, Portugal / Escola Soeiro Pereira Gomes).
• Nick Phyllis would score his second goal of the match to extend the Saint lead in the 53rd minute with assists from Edgar Martins and sophomore Xavier Munro (Medina, OH / Walsh Jesuit).

• Nick Phyllis tallied two goals on the night to lead the Saints.
• Edgar Martins posted two assists in the contest.
• Saint goalies senior Drew Kendrick (Batavia, OH / Batavia) and freshman Joey Jones (Dover, OH / Dover) combined for four saves in the shutout.

The Saints return on Saturday (November 8th) for the opening round of the G-MAC Tournament. Time and location is TBD.
