Saints Stung By Yellow Jackets on Thursday Night

(Cedarville, OH) - The Thomas More University women's volleyball team faced off against the Cedarville University Yellowjackets on Thursday (October 9).  The Yellowjackets defeated the Saints in three straight sets as they now move to 3-3 in conference and 6-6 overall.

Cedarville defeats Thomas More, 3-0.

• Cedarville won the opening set 25 to 16.

• Cedarville won the second set 25 to 20.

• Cedarville won the third set and the match 25 to 17.

• Senior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) and Sophomore Kat Koepke (New Haven, IN/New Haven) both led the Saints in kills with 8.  

• Senior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/Liceo Curie) led the team in aces with 2.

• Senior Ella Bell (Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute North) and Senior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) both led the team in blocks with 2 each.

• Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the match in assists with 20.

• Sophomore Taylor Stivers (Louisville, KY/Atherton) and Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) both led the Saints in digs with 7 each.

• The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday (October 11) against Kentucky Wesleyan College at home.  The match is set for 1:00 PM.
