Saints Defeat Malone on the Road in Four Sets

(Canton, OH) - The Thomas More University women's volleyball team faced off against the Malone University Pioneers on Friday (October 24).  The Saints defeated the Pioneers in four sets as Thomas More now moves to 5-3 in conference play and 9-9 overall.

Thomas More defeats Malone, 3-1.

• Malone won the opening set 25 to 23.

• Thomas More won the second set 25 to 16.

• Thomas More won the third set 25 to 22.

• Thomas More won the fourth set and the match 25 to 22.

• Senior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints in kills with 19.  

• Sophomore Taylor Stivers (Louisville, KY/Atherton) and Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) both led the team in service aces with 1 each.

• Senior Ella Bell (Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute North) and Senior Matilde Giamberini (Gornate Olona, Italy/Liceo Curie) both led the team in blocks with 3 each.

• Sophomore Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the match in assists with 55.

• Sophomore Taylor Stivers (Louisville, KY/Atherton) led the match in digs with 25.

• The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to action on Saturday (October 24) against Walsh University in Canton, OH.  The match is set for 4:00 PM.
