Gomez Records Career High in Kills as Saints Power Past Malone

Box Score (Crestview Hills, KY) - The Thomas More women's volleyball team faced off against Malone University on Friday (September 20) in their second conference game of the season.  The Saints defeated Malone in four sets as they now move to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in G-MAC play.
 

 
Thomas More defeats Malone, 3-1.

• Malone won the opening set 25 to 15.
• Thomas More won the second set 26 to 24.
• Thomas More won the third set 25 to 21.
• Thomas More won the fourth set 25 to 15.

 

• Junior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints in kills with 27. That marks a career high.
• Freshman Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the Saints in assists with 37.
• Junior Emily Acito (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy McAuley), Senior Ruthie Neu (Greenwood, IN/Roncalli), and Freshman Kat Koepke (New Haven, IN/New Haven Sr.) all led in service aces with 1 each.
• Senior Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada) led the match in digs with 18.
• Senior Sydney Hilderbran (Bowling Green, OH/Lakota West) led in blocks with 5.

 

• The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to play on Saturday (September 21) against Walsh University at home.  The match is set for 12:00 PM.
