(Owensboro, KY) - The Thomas More women's volleyball team faced off against the University of Indianapolis on Saturday (September 14) during the second day of the KWC Tournament. UIndy beat the Saints in four sets. The Saints then went on to face the University of Illinois Springfield in their second match, and lost in a hard fought five sets. They now move to 4-4 overall on the season.
Match 1: UIndy beats Thomas More, 3-1.
- UIndy won the opening set 25 to 23.
- Thomas More won the second set 25 to 22.
- UIndy won the third set 31 to 29.
- UIndy won the fourth set 25 to 12.
Match 2: UIS beats Thomas More, 3-2.
- Thomas More won the opening set 25 to 20.
- Thomas More won the second set 25 to 11.
- UIS won the third set 25 to 11.
- UIS won the fourth set 25 to 21.
- UIS won the final set 15 to 7.

- Junior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints in kills with 17.
- Freshman Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the Saints in assists with 23.
- Senior Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada) led in service aces with 3. She also led in digs with 18.
- Freshman Kat Koepke (New Haven, IN/New Haven Sr. High School) led in blocks with 4.
Match 2:
- Junior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela/Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints in kills with 15.
- Freshman Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) led the Saints in assists with 24.
- Senior Ruthie Neu (Greenwood, IN/Roncalli) led in service aces with 3.
- Senior Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada) led the match in digs with 21.
- Junior Brenna Young (Crestwood, KY/South Oldham) led in blocks with 3.
The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to play on Tuesday (September 17) against Kentucky Wesleyan at home for their first conference match of the season. The match is set for 7:00 PM.
