Men's Basketball Falls in the G-MAC Tournament Finals to Close Out Their First Season in DII

(NORTH CANTON, OH)-Thomas More University's men's basketball team wrapped up their first season in Division II on Saturday afternoon (March 9) in the G-MAC Tournament finals. The No. 4 Seed Saints fell to No.2 Seed Walsh, 65-56. The Saints overall record for the year was 19-12 and 12-8 in conference.

First Half
  • First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) made a jump shot to kick things off in the first with 19:23 on the clock (2-0).
  • With 16:08 to play in the first half, junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) made a turn around jump shot to help the Saints regain the lead (9-7).
  • Graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) hit a jump shot to tie the game up at 15-15 with 11:41 to play in the half.
  • Jacob Jones would lay the ball in with 6:10 on the clock to make it a 24-22 game.
  • Jacob Jones would make the Saints final basket of the half with a jump shot with 23 seconds to play (29-26).
  • The Saints would lead 29-28 going into the locker room at the half.
  • Jacob Jones would lead the team with 11 points and five rebounds.
  • Reid Jolly had eight points and one assist.
  • Nathan Dudukovich had eight points and one rebound.

Second Half
  • Jacob Jones hit a 3-point shot to get things started for the Saints in the second half with 19:04 to play (32-30).
  • Reid Jolly made a jump shot with 15:16 on the clock to put the Saints up by three (39-36).
  • With 11:58 to play, first year Carson Browne (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) knocked in a jump shot to help the Saints regain the lead (43-42).
  • Reid Jolly laid in his final career basket with 3:17 to play to put the Saints within two with 3:17 to play (54-56).
  • Nathan Dudukovich drove to the rim for a layup for the Saints final basket if the game with 18 seconds left (56-64).
  • The Saints would fall 65-56 in the G-MAC Tournament Finals.
  • Jacob Jones led the Saints with seven points and four assists in the second half and had one rebound.
  • Nathan Dudukovich also had seven points ot lead the team and had one rebound and one assist.

  • Junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) led the team with three rebounds and had three points.
