Women's Basketball Dominate Tiffin;Smith Scores 1,000th Career Point

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY)-Thomas More University's women's basketball team defeated Tiffin on Saturday afternoon (Feb 3), 82-65. The Saints overall record improves to 14-7 and 10-4 in conference.

First Half
  • Senior Alex Smith (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) would drain a 3-point basket to start the Saints 8-0 run and to put the team ahead 3-0 with 9:21 on the clock.
  • With 6:16 on the clock, senior Kelly Brenner (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) hit a 3-point shot to extend the Saints lead to 11-2.
  • Alex Smith would knock in two free throws as time expired to put the Saints ahead 21-6 at the end of the one first quarter.
  • Senior Mattison Vickers (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) banked in a 3-pointer to kick things off in the second quarter with 9:40 to play (24-6).
