Saints Swept in Saturday Action at Blue Bridge Battle

(EVANSVILLE, IN)-Thomas More University's softball team fell to Ferris State in game one 12-0 and 9-1 to Davenport in game two. The Saints overall record falls to 0-8.


Game 1:

• Ferris State scored four runs in the first, six in the third, one in the fourth and one in the fifth.

Game 2:

• Davenport scored six runs in the first inning. two in the third and one in the fourth.
• Junior Josie Wefer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning for the Saints.

Game 1:

• Graduate Student Hailey McAdoo (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) went 1-2 at the plate.
• First year Adi Johnson (Ross, OH / Ross) went 1-1 with a walk at the plate.

Game 2:

• Senior Delaney Kemper (Williamstown, KY / Williamstown) went 1-2 at the plate.
• Junior Emily Allphin (New Richmond, OH / Milford) recorded 2 walks and a stolen base.

Game 1:

• First year Olivia Dumm (Williamsport, Ohio/Westfall) pitched 2.2 innings, giving up 8 earned runs on 10 hits and striking out one.
• First year Kylie Ropp (Bellefontaine, OH / Kenton Ridge) pitched 2.1 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 6 hits and striking out one.  

Game 2:

• Graduate student Annika Gels (Eaton, OH / Eaton) pitched 3.0 innings, 4 earned runs and striking out 4.
• Senior Cassidy King (Huber Heights, Ohio/Wayne) pitched 1.0 innings, allowing one earned run.

The Saints wrap up the Blue Bridge Battle tomorrow afternoon in Evansville with another double header. First pitch is at 11:00 AM against Davis & Elkins.
