Saints Extend Win Streak to Three with Road Victory

(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Thomas More men's volleyball team competed against Kentucky State University on Tuesday (February 13).  The Saints defeated Kentucky State in five sets.  The Saints are now 7-5 overall on the season

 

Thomas More defeats Kentucky State, 3-2.

• Thomas More won the opening set, 25 to 18.
• Kentucky State took the second set, 25 to 23.
• Thomas More won the third set, 25 to 22.
• Kentucky State won the fourth set, 25 to 23.
• Thomas More defeated Kentucky State, 15 to 10.

 

• Sophomore Dominic Rossi (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler Area) led the Saints with 11 kills in the match. He also had two digs in the match.
• Junior Matt Gagnon (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle) recorded a team high 7 digs in the match.
• Sophomore Noah Smith-Trondle (Hartwell, OH / Walnut Hills High School) recorded a team high in assists with 25 in the match to go along with 6 digs.
• Junior Caleb Lipscomb (Cincinnati, OH / Walnut Hills) recorded 8 kills and an assisted block in the match.
• First year Luke Duncan (Houston, TX / Memorial Senior) recorded 6 kills, 5 digs, 2 service aces and 2 assisted blocks.

 

The Thomas More men's volleyball team returns to play on Friday (February 16) against Tusculum in the Connor Convocation Center  The match is set for 7:00 PM.
