(OWENSBORO, KY) - The Thomas More women's volleyball team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday night (October, 25th) in four sets. The Saints improve to 11-12 overall on the season and 5-5 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.
Thomas More defeats KWC, 3-1.
- KWC won the opening set 25 to 15.
- Thomas More won the second set 25 to 18.
- Thomas More won the third set 25 to 20.
- Thomas More took the fourth set 25 to 20
- Junior Ebony Gomez (Merida, Venezuela / Colegio Salesiano San Luis) led the Saints with 7 kills and a team high 7 total blocks.
- Three different Saints tied for the team lead in kills with 8.
- First year setter Audrey Warrick (Linton, IN/Linton Stockton) and senior Sam McClanahan (Georgetown, KY/Scott County) each recorded 16 assists in the match.
The Thomas More women's volleyball team returns to play on Tuesday (October 29) at Cedarville. The match is set for 7:00 PM.
