Women's Soccer Picks up Back to Back Conference Win

Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's soccer team defeated Kentucky Weselyan on Thursday evening (October 15), 2-1. The Saints overall record improves to 5-4-3 and 2-4-3 in conference.

• Senior Amy Bos (Nijmegen, Netherlands/Mondial College Nijmegen) scored from the top of the box in the first five minutes of the game to put the Saints on the board 1-0.
• Kentucky Wesleyan tied things up in the 22nd minute to make it 1-1.
• Sophomore Andjela Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Belgrade High School) scored in the 19th minute off an assist from first year Josie Gruber (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) to give the Saints the go ahead lead (2-1).

• Amy Bos scored a goal and had four shots.
• Andjela Popovic had four shots with three on goal and found the back of the net.
• Josie Gruber had one shot and one assist.
• First year Bethel Green (Lexington, Ky.Paul Laurence Dunbar) had two shots.
• First year Ivy Hoffman (Taylor Mill, Ky./Holy Cross) tallied two shots.
• First year Lily Martin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) recorded one shot on goal.
• Junior transfer Kaytlynn Staley Sacramento, Calif./Liberty Ranch) had one shot.

The Saints return on Saturday (October 19) against Northwood at 12:00 pm in Midland, Mich.
