Men's Basketball Drops to Cedarville on Saturday Afternoon

(CEDARVILLE, OH)- Thomas More University men's basketball team lost to Cedarville on Saturday afternoon (Jan 6), by a score of 73 to 54. The Saints overall record falls to 10-5 and 5-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

• Junior Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) got the Saints on the scoreboard first with a layup off an assist from redshirt junior Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, IN / Jeffersonville) (2-0).
• A layup from graduate student Reid Jolly (Alexandria, KY / Campbell County) and a jumper from Jacob Jones cuts the Yellow Jacket lead down to 1 (8-9).
• Reid Jolly knocks down a jumper to retake the lead for the Saints with 14:33 to go in the half (10-9).
• Junior Wyatt Vieth (Hebron, KY / St. Henry) caps off a 10 point Saint run with a layup with 11 minutes to go in the half (14-9).
• First year Nathan Dudukovich (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) drains two three pointers in a 2 minute span to make it a six point lead for the Saints (24-18).
• Saints trailed at the half by a score of 29 to 24.
• Thomas More shot 11-28 (39.3%) from the field and 2-9 (22.2%) from three point range.

• Reid Jolly scored the first Saint points of the second half to make it a ten point game (26-36).
• With 16:03 to go, Jacob Jones converts on an "And-1" to keep it at a ten point contest (29-39).
