Women's Basketball Drops to Ursuline on the Road

Box Score (PEPPER PIKE, OH)-Thomas More University women's basketball team fell to Ursuline College on Thursday (Jan. 18) evening by a score of 50 to 49. Thomas More falls to an overall record of 10-7 on the season and a Great Midwest Athletic Conference record of 6-4.

First Half
  • First year Desiree Tandy (Danville, KY / Danville) knocks down a jumper off an assist from first year Rylee Leonard (Sardinia, OH / Eastern Brown) to give the Saints an early lead (2-0).
  • A three pointer from senior Alex Smith (Cincinnati, OH /Mercy McAuley) off an assist from senior Maggie Jones (Piner, KY / Simon Kenton) ends an Ursuline run (5-8).
  • Senior Mattison Vickers (Covington, Ky./Simon Kenton) drills a three pointer off an assist from sophomore Rylee Turner (Newport, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) to cut the lead down to two (10-12).
  • After the first quarter the Saints trailed by four (12-16).
