Women's Soccer Falls to #25 Nova Southeastern in Season Opener

(FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.)-Thomas More University women's soccer team was defeated by #25 Nova Southeastern on Friday evening (September 1), 6-0, to open up their first official Division II season. The Saints overall record falls to 1-0.

How they scored
  • With 6:53 into the first half, Nova Southeasten's Luana Grabias scored to give them the lead 1-0 over the Saints.
  • The second goal would come at the 14:44 mark by NSU's Tabea Schutt, assisted by Jordyn Pitter (2-0).
  • NSU's Maja Henriksson would score in the 51st minute to extend the lead to 3-0.
  • Jordyn Pitter from Nova Southeasten recorded a goal in the 56th minute to make it a 4-0 game.
  • Maja Henriksson would strike again in the 62nd minute for her second goal of the game (5-0).
  • Luana Grabias would close out the scoring for the Eagle with her second goal in the 65th minute to make it a 6-0 game.
  • Sophomore Olivia Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) tallied one shot on goal.
  • Senior Grace Armentrout (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) had one shot on goal.
  • Junior Eva Kinwel (Arnhem, Netherlands Beekdal Lyceum) recorded one shot on goal.
