Women's Tennis Gets Sweep for the Weekend with Win Over Bethel (Tenn.)

(CRESTVIEW HILLS. Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's tennis team defeated Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon (April 8), 4-2. The Saints overall record improves to 6-8 and 3-5 in conference.

• First year Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) and first year Heidi Kane (Gilford, Ind./East Central) defeated Anabella Baralt and Sophia Vasconcellos 6-0.
• Sophomore Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecaneo) and sophomore Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain/IES Las Llamas) fell 5-4 to Edisa Hot and Sofija Raiic.
• Senior Kimberly Sabga (Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago International School of Port of Spain) and junior Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky. Simon Kenton) would rally the Saints back for a 6-4 win over Marina Zotelli and Tijana Suitlea.

• Alexis Covington fell to Edisa Hot 7-6 (7), 2-6, and 3-6.
• Dakota Schroeder defeated Sofija Rajic 6-1 and 6-2.
• Noelia Garcia won with the scores 5-7, 6-1, and 6-0 over Anabella Baralt.
• Heidi Kane was defeated by Tijana Suitlea 3-6 and 6-7 (2).
• Cassie Saner helped the Saints take the victory with a win over Sophia Vasconcellos with the scores 3-6, 6-3, and 6-2.
• Kimberly Sabga fell 2-6 and 1-6 to Marina Zotelli. 

The return to the court on Thursday (April 13) against Pikeville at 4:00 pm in Pikeville, Ky.
