Women's Tennis Come Out on Top Over Freed Hardeman

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's tennis team defeated Freed Hardeman on Friday (April 7), 7-0. The Saints overall record improves to 5-8 and 2-5 in conference.

• First year Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) and first year Heidi Kane (Gilford, Ind./East Central) defeated Mia Lancaster and Julianna Alves 6-4.
• Sophomore Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecaneo) and sophomore Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain/IES Las Llamas) won 6-0 over Elise Kruzan and Morgan Brown.
• Senior Kimberly Sabga (Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago International School of Port of Spain) and junior Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky. Simon Kenton) finished it up for the Saints by defeating Delfina Rodriguez and Hannah Pearce 6-2.

• Alexis Covington won 6-2 and 6-4 over Mia Lancaster.
• Dakota Schroeder defeated Julianna Alves 6-2 and 6-0.
• Noelia Martinez Garcia won with the scores 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (8) over Delfina Rodriguez.
• Heidi Kane swept Elise Kruzan 6-0 and 6-0.
• Cassie Saner also had a clean 6-0 and 6-0 sweep over Morgan Brown.
• Kimberly Sabga defeated Hannah Pearce 6-0 and 6-1.

The Saints return to action this afternoon against Bethel (Tenn.) at 4:30 pm at Five Seasons Family Sports Club.
