Women's Tennis Advances to MSC Quarterfinals

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's tennis team defeated No. 11 seed Shawnee State on Thursday (April 20) 4-0 to advance to the Quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. The Saints overall record improves to 9-8.

• First year Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) and first year Heidi Kane (Gilford, Ind./East Central) went 4-3 unfinished with Claire Carruthers and Lacey Urban.
• Sophomore Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain/IES Las Llamas) and sophomore Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecaneo) defeated Antonia llea and McKenzie Harman 6-1.
• Senior Kimberly Sabga (Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago International School of Port of Spain) and junior Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky. Simon Kenton) closed out the round of doubles defeating Brooklyn Foose and Lexy Urban 6-1.

The Saints return tonight (April 21) against No. 3 seed Campbellsville (Ky.) in the Quarterfinals of the MSC Tournament in Bowling Green, Ky.
