Men's Lacrosse Picks Up First Victory in Program History

(PHILIPPI, WV.) - The Thomas More men's lacrosse team defeated Alderson Broaddus by a score of 7 to 6 on Saturday afternoon (Marh 18th) to earn the first win in program history and the first win for head coach Sean McGinnis.

• First year Andrew Pulliam (Lexington, Ky. / Lexington Christian Academy) got the Saints started with a goal within the first minute of the game. (1-0)
• First year Graham Houser (Hilliard, Ohio / St. Charles) got a pass from first year Nick Boriin (Worthington, Ohio / Thomas Worthington) and scored to extend the lead. (2-0)
• First year Maxwell Moore (Louisville, Ky. / DuPont Manual) scored an unassisted goal to round out the first quarter for the Saints. (3-0)
• First year Spencer Lethbridge (Olmsted Falls, Ohio / Olmsted Falls) continued the hot start for the Saints with an unassisted goal. (4-0)
• Alderson Broaddus scored 3 straight goals to cut the Saints lead to 1. (4-3)
• First year Donahugh Simpson (Spanish Town, Jamaica / St. George's College) and Nick Boriin each scored in the third quarter to get the Saint's lead back to 3. (6-3)
• Alderson Broaddus answered with another goal. (6-4)
• Maxwell Moore found the back of the net on an unassisted goal to push the lead back to 3. (7-4).
• Alderson Broaddus scored 2 goals to end the game. (7-6)

•  Maxwell Moore tallied 2 goals to go along with 3 face off wins.
• Andrew Pulliam led the team with 4 ground balls and also scored a goal.
• Nick Boriin tallied a goal and an assist for the Saints.
• Donahugh Simpson, Spencer Lethbridge, and Graham Houser each recorded a goal.
• First year Trevor Almanza (Cincinnati, Ohio / Fairfield) tallied 12 saves in goal.
• Marks the first win in Thomas More Men's Lacrosse history.

Men's lacrosse will return to action this Wednesday (March 22nd) when they host Lourdes University at Republic Bank Field. Game set to start a 4:00 PM ET.
