Women's Lacrosse Fall to Marian (Ind.) 21 to 5

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - The women's lacrosse team at Thomas More lost to Marian (Ind.) by a score of 21 to 5 on Wednesday night (March 1st). The Saints fall to an overall record of 0-3 on the season. 

• Marian open the game with a goal to take the early lead. (1-0)
• First year Meg Pierani (Bright, Ind. / Mercy McAuley) got the Saints on the board and tied the game at one with a goal. (1-1)
• Marian scored three straight goals to retake the lead. (4-1)
• Sophmore Eva Kinwel (Arnhem, Netherlands / Beekdal Lyceum) scores an unassisted goal to cut into the Marian lead. (4-2)
• Marian scored 7 straight goals to open the second quarter. (11-2)
• In the final 2 minutes of the half, junior Kendra Yurt (Louisville, Ky. / Mercy) scored 2 goals both unassisted to end the half. (11-4)
• Marian opened the second half with 8 straight goals. (19-4)
• Meg Pierani scored her second goal of the game with 9:30 to go. (19-4)
• Marian ends the game with 2 more goals. (21-4)

• Meg Pierani tallied 2 goals and a ground ball.
• Kendra Yurt had 2 goals, a ground ball, a caused turnover and 4 draw controls.
• Junior Mckenzie Mobley (Harrison, Ohio / Harrison) got 2 ground balls, a caused turnover and 4 draw controls.
• Eva Kinwel tallied a goal, 3 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers and 2 draw controls.
• Junior Madi Carle (Cincinanti, Ohio / Mercy McAuley) had 3 ground balls, and a caused turnover.

Women's lacrosse return to action on Friday (March 3rd) when they return home to face off with Bethel (Ind.) with the start time set for 3:00 PM ET.
