Women's Tennis Comes Out on Top Over Cedarville

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University women's tennis team defeated Cedarville 7-0 on Friday evening (February 17). The Saints overall record improves to 2-2.

• First year Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) and first year Heidi Kane (Gilford, Ind./East Central) started things off for the Saints by defeating Abby Totten and Payton Krahn 6-3.
• Sophomore Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecaneo) and sophomore Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain/IES Las Llamas) won 6-1 over Yellow Jackets Faith Monson and Calista Bobula.
• Senior Kimberly Sabga (Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago International School of Port of Spain) and junior Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky. Simon Kenton) closed things out by defeating Faith Tripplett and Megan VanDyke 6-0.

• Dakota Schroeder defeated Abby Totten 6-2 and 6-3.
• Alexis Covington followed by winning 6-2 and 6-3 over Payton Krahn.
• Noelia Martinez Garcia won 6-1 and 6-3 over Calista Bobula.
• Heidi Kane defeated Faith Monson by the scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
• Cassie Saner won 6-2 and 6-3 over Joelle Petek.
• Kim Sabga finished things off for the Saints with scores of 6-3 and 6-0 over Lauryn Leslie.

The Saints return to action on Sunday (February 19) at Centre in Danville, Ky. at 1:00 pm ET.
