Women's Lacrosse Drops Season Opener to Lake Erie

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.) - The women's lacrosse program at Thomas More opened the 2023 season with a 15-7 loss to Lake Erie on Friday (February 17th) afternoon. First year Meg Pierani (Bright, Ind. / Mercy McAuley) tallied 3 goals for in her first game as a Saint. The Saints move to (0-1) on the season.

  • Lake Erie scored to make it 1-0 with 12:29 in the first quarter.
  • Meg Pierani scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at 1 with 10:45 to go in the first quarter.
  • Junior Mckenzie Mobley (Harrison, Ohio / Harrison) found the back of the net off a pass from Meg Pierani to give Thomas More a 2-1 lead.
  • With 2:48 to go in the quarter Lake Erie would tie it up at 2.
  • Mckenzie Mobley scored an unassisted goal to give the Saints a 3-2 lead at the start of the 2nd quarter.
