(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY) – The Thomas More women's volleyball team beat the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Sunday (November, 5th) afternoon by a score of three sets to one. The Saints improve to an overall record of 5-22 on the season and a Great Midwest Athletic Conference record of 3-13.
- Thomas More took the opening set 25 to 22.
- Kentucky Wesleyan evened the match by winning set two 25 to 20.
- Thomas More won set three by a score of 25 to 14.
- Thomas More won set four and the match by a score of 25 to 22.
- Junior Jess Gearries (Avon, IN / Avon) led the Saints offensively with 14 kills in the match.
- Sophomore Emily Acito (Cincinnati, OH / Mercy McAuley) recorded a double double with 13 kills and 17 digs in the match. She also had 2 solo blocks, an assisted block and 2 service aces.
- Junior setter Sam McClanahan (Georgetown, KY / Scott County) recorded 34 assists in the match to go along with 11 digs, an assist block and 4 kills.
- Junior libero Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy / Barletti Ovada) tallied 26 digs in match which led the Saints. She also had 10 assists.
- Junior Ruthie Neu (Greenwood, IN / Roncalli) recorded 13 digs in the match and a service ace.
Thomas More will be back in action on Wednesday (November, 8th) when they travel to Columbus, OH to face off against the Ohio Dominican Panthers. That match is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
