Saints Beat Northwood to Win Second Straight G-MAC Match

(MIDLAND, MI)-Thomas More University men's soccer team defeated Northwood on Wednesday afternoon (October 4th), 2-1. The Saints overall record improves to 5-5-1 and 3-3-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

• Graduate student Tim Stolz (Donaueschingen, Germany / Villingen) broke the scoreless game in the 51st minute to give the Saints a lead in the second half.
• In the 75th minute, sophomore Julen van Egmond (Amsterdam, Netherlands / St. Nicolaaslyceum) added to the Saints lead by scoring off an assist from first year Ramzi Termanini (Fort Pierce, FL / Fort Pierce Central) to make it a 2-0 game.
• Northwood would score a goal in the 84th minute to make it a 1 goal game.

• Tim Stolz recorded a goal and 3 shots in the contest.
• Julen van Egmond tallied a goal with 2 shots in the match.
• First year Balthasar Zimmerman (Munich, Germany Theodolinden) recorded two shots on goal.
• Ramzi Termanini had the lone assist in the match for the Saints.
• Redshirt sophomore, Matthaus Buechner (Goshen, OH / Goshen High School) and senior Nathan Ortiz (Orem, UT / ASU Preparatory Academy) each recorded shots on goal.
• Sophomore goalkeeper, Emilio Benmergui Rodriquez (Valencia, Spain / Cumbres School Valencia) recorded five saves for the Saints.
