Meddings Surpasses Program's Most Career Assists in Game Winning Goal Over KWC

(OWENSBORO, Ky.)-Thomas More University's women's soccer team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan on Wednesday evening (Oct 25), 3-2. The Saints overall record improves to 7-7-2 and 6-5-1 in conference. 

How they scored
  • Graduate student Sydney Rhodes (Lebanon, Ohio/Kings) found the back of the net in the 50th minute off a pass from first year Andela Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Belgrade) to give the Saints the 1-0 lead.
  • Kentucky Wesleyan would then score back to back goals from Maci Onstott and Ashlyn Payton to give the Panther the 2-1 lead.
  • Sydney Rhodes would score again the 60th minute off an assist from Avery Seig to tie the game up at 2-2.
  • Graduate student Ryann Meddings (Farifield, Ohio/Fairfield) would cross the ball in the 85th minute to Andela Popovic for the Saints game winning goal (3-2.
