Saints Defend Their Home Turf in Victory Over Malone

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY)-Thomas More University men's soccer team defeated Malone on Saturday afternoon (October 14th), 4-1. The Saints overall record improves to 7-6-1 and 5-4-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.

• In the 12th minute of the match, sophomore Julen van Egmond (Amsterdam, Netherlands / St. Nicolaaslyceum) scored for the Saints off an assist from first year Balthasar Zimmerman (Munich, Germany / Theodolinden).
• Zimmerman would come back and get a goal of his own in the 26th minute to extend the lead to 2 for the Saints.
• Senior Andrew Nephew (Cincinnati, OH / Landmark Christian) would extend the Thomas More lead with a goal off assists from senior Nathan Ortiz (Orem, UT / ASU Preparatory Academy) and senior Charlie Allan (Cardiff, Wales / Cardiff) to make it 3-0.
• Malone scored in the 33rd minute to make it a 3-1 game.
• First year Karim Slim (Beirut, Lebanon / College Louise Wegman) would get in on the scoring with a goal off an assist from first year Ramzi Termanini (Fort Pierce, FL Fort Pierce Central) to make it 4-1 before halftime.
