Men's Soccer Defeats Point Park in Season Opener

Pittsburgh, PA - The Men's Soccer program at Thomas More scored three straight goals to open the second half, that propelled the Saints to a 3-1 victory over Point Park in the season opener. Flo Meyer led the Saints with two goals. This marked the first victory for new head coach Scott Phipps.

• Sophomore Flo Meyer (Mulheim, Germany / Luisenschule) scored two goals and tallied three shots on goal.
• First-Year Julen van Egmond (Amsterdam, Netherlands / St. Nicolaaslyceum) tallied three shots on goal, and scored a goal.
• Sophomore Dan Hill (Tewkesbury, England / Hartpury) tallied three shots on goal.
• Scott Phipps earned his first victory as the head coach of the Saints.

• The Saints are back in action on Thursday, August 25th in their home opener, taking on Oakland City at 7:30 PM ET.
